I hope you find as much humour in this as I did. I’m not exactly sure who’s behind this but I think they’re laughing too. With an alias as homotronic there’s probably some super producer behind the track, which is totally legit btw. The single (with a full instrumental on the flip) has sold out at Juno.

Free Blood
“A soundtrack for parties gone awry.”
That’s the concept behind Free Blood. Madeleine Davy and John Pugh make “Music to fuel awkward sexual dalliances, desperate yelled misunderstandings on the dance floor, toilets over-flowing with the night’s collective regurgitation, lonesome midnight ramblings, stereo components fried by heat and moisture, backyard furniture bonfires, power outages, mass hallucinations, etc.”
Their musical philosophy is compounded in their single Royal Family with the line, “Why don’t we do it?” echoing over and over. The ACTH remix turns the trip into a bit of a tribal stomper too – juxtaposed against haunting cello stabs, acid tweakery, and boom sonics.

The strings in that track made me a bit nostalgic for the string machine gun fire of Aphex Twin.
