USHER + MISCELLANEOUS CHOCOLATE

Growing in a small town before the internet was tough. Some mates and I used to rave in the early to mid 90s and for such a long time I was totally naive to the drug culture that was so prevelent. It was all about the music for me; that and dancing for hours in a sweaty mess when my parents thought I was sleeping over somewhere else. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

These parties were rare though so from time to time we would try to get our groove on at one of the bars – the prairie version of a nightclub. They’re sort of like a low budget rip off of Vegas clubs with a bit of steroid injected western beef-headed-ness. I hated it, but grew to tolerate it with unsafe amounts of alcohol. I don’t know how, but the music never changed.

So when one of my raving counterparts started pounding the Cadilac’s club hits, I knew it was time to leave before I started doing the same. It’s funny though, now I’m wrapped in nostalgia hearing many of them remixed. These tunes make me crave thunderous bassbin towers in dirty warehouses and the youthful energy needed to bounce with every beat until the sun comes out the next morning.

Turn this one up!
