I was literally writing an email to a long time friend about how ravey dance music is lately. As I typed the sentiments above to my raving homey “We Run” interupted me with its chorus of filters. The breakdown on the track is a bit long, but it’s progressive enough to net any salmon dancers or otherwise into a sweaty pond of ecstacy and sunshine.

The new LP is the follow up to the critically acclaimed debut Silence. Between recording the new album, MELNYK has also been busy producing for the likes of Pet Shop Boys, Louie Austen, My Robot Friend and Temposhark.

The album has ten brand new tracks and featuring vocals from Sebastian Muravchik from the italodisco group Heartbreak, along with contributions from Temposhark and labelmates Sara Berg and Ebb. The first single will be the title track “Revolutions”. A blend of disco, eletro and pop – featuring Muravchik’s trademark vocal delivery. The EP includes electrodisco mixes by Thugfucker and Artego (Blendbrank).

Check out MELNYK and the new album Revolutions which will be available on limited edition compact discs in numbered sleeves – through selected retailers including the Gaymonkey Shop. The album will also be released as a download (with digital booklet via iTunes) worldwide on the 22nd of September.
