Here’s a postmodern twist. It’s a Depeche Mode cover done by RED BLOODED WOMEN remixed by DESIGNER DRUGS. Crazy huh? Their new single, a cover of the seminal Depeche Mode classic, was originally conceived for a live show for Electronically Yours. The response to the performance was immense, leaving the girls with no choice but to get in the studio and record it with hot production team ‘Trademark’ (Foals, Chicks on Speed). They’ve created a fitting and exhilarating tribute to the original. I like it when I get things like this – makes me feel all warm and cuddly on the inside. The remix however, makes me wanna dance.

Great cover in its own right, but that remix takes it to a whole new level, doesn’t it?
Not sure if there’s been anything I’ve not liked from both acts so far.
