Somebody should make a video of raving turkeys. Instead of doing their usual “gobble gobble” noise, the turkeys would be going all “wobble wobble.” Turkeys: the new rave mascot. What? Nevermind.

I’ve been listening to a tonne of wobble house and bass music lately and dare I say, it’s my new favourite. Take THE BASS KNIGHTS for example. They’re able to take Buraka Som Sistema from dubstep to full on rave. They also give Britney a pacifier workout with throwbacks to target=”_blank”>Rotterdam. The Bass Knights soon have a remix out of your new favourite tune video – ahem – see above.

TITTSWORTH + METERHEAD + TOP BILLIN

PLANT MUSIC just released TITTSWORTH‘s latest single, “Drunk As F*ck” featuring remixes by DJ Craze, Top Billin’, Stretch Armstrong, and METERHEAD. To be expected, this track has its sights on becoming the party tune of the summer. METERHEAD bounce their disco blend pretty close to that target and TOP BILLIN’ get things a bit more sweaty after a complete bass workout.

LMFAO + DEATH TO THE THRONE

I don’t know if I’ve been living under a rock or something, but I’ve never heard of LMFAO until a couple days ago. They’re playing in Winnipeg next week. How serendipitous that DEATH TO THE THRONE just sent his version of “La La La.” I like this version better than the original – DTTT keeps the 8-bit squeaks but gives the tune a fatter bassline and cuts out the (cheesy) rap.

THUNDERHEIST + IDIOTPROOF

Toronto’s THUNDERHEIST get a brand new remix from IDIOTPROOF. Gone are the crazy vocal spasms from Isis and the chunky rhythms from Grahmzilla. The structure of the tune has been replaced with dubbed out minimal techno. A great way to end the evening.

Thunderheist are in the midst of their European tour and the full single for “Nothing 2 Step 2″ is out on May 25 from BIG DADA.

PASSION PIT + BURNS + SHUTTLE + EMPIRE OF THE SUN

A couple of PASSION PIT remixes for you. The first is from SHUTTLE (Nate Donmoyer Drummer of Passion Pit) who delivers a heavy load of bass over the original track’s dreamy synth. BURNS unexpectedly gets low and slow considering his output on his previous production credits. I guess he’s changing pace.

Speaking of Burns, he was just given the nod for his cosmic disco edit of EMPIRE OF THE SUN‘s “We Are The People.” I know what you’re thinking. Can Burns really have another remix under his belt – and holy muther eff, there’s another EOTS remix? Seriously?

Seriously.
