DOLBY ANOL are based in Glasgow and in Berlin. They make electronic music tailored for dancefloors  – but who doesn’t these days. The thing is, they’re good at it and can throw down sets for any party with their smashed up disco, pop, techno, house music steez. This next one falls somewhere in those categories.

MIKIX is this young wild street cat who used to break dance in the Paris suburbs. He began producing wobbly bass and rave mixes to dance to and now transfers those skills to you. Voila!

Flying the flag for the New Judas Crew, he’s sort of an electro-gameboy monster: part evil Finish god of metal, part Studio-54 play-boy, he’s hitting the scene hard with killer tracks and a ton of live energy. Yes! HUORATRON!  Here’s his remix for MIX HELL.

I’ve heard a number of stories about how hard it can be to pass through Canadian customs. I guess custom officers are trained to look for records or something – not that DJing is illegal here necessarily, the Canadian government just wants to know if you’re doing it as a job. If so, you need a work visa to hit the decks on Canadian soil.  Apparently, something like this happened to LEONARD when he played in Montreal. Now he’s angry and making angry music. Just kidding. He’s making the crunchy music you like to dance to.

Finally a bit of a mashup. Apparently MAGNUM 38 met Grace Jones weeks ago in a famous Karaoke Bar somewhere in Tokyo. He woke up after passing out in the booth and wasnt able to remember if the encounter was a dream or not. The incidence is still in your favour however. The experience provided enough inspiration for this bootleg: part disco classic, part bass stutter.
