BASS WEAZAL formed after Will Bailey’s last project (TWOCKER). Bailey was looking for a natural way to move his production forward and in doing so he called upon DJ Ill Phil. Their colaboration started a different take on electro compared to TWOCKER and the new pseudonym was born.

    Hopefully I’m not the only one to find these remixes heavily unoriginal. The Bloc Party and MGMT follow the same formula: opening beat, giant chunk of original track with little or no modification, beat with re-edited bits from original track, closing beat.

    If, in the case of the MGMT remix, they had taken the bit that begins at 3:47 (beat with re-edits) and extended that for the majority of the track, and left out or shortened the giant chunk of the original, i might find this a bit better.

    That said however, the Mylo remix is pretty damn good!

    That might be true, but they’re still fun, and good party tracks which is fine for me lol.
