
Growing up as a small town DJ in Lethbridge, Alberta, you tend to get to know all the other DJs in town (all 10 of them) and it really forces you to broaden your musical horizons. I remember going to parties and hearing a house DJ followed by a drum & bass DJ followed by a gabber/hardcore DJ followed by a trance DJ. Above all, about 70% of the DJ population were drum & bass junkies. I still remember when we got a hold of a copy of Vinyl Syndicate – Man Of Steel in ‘97.
On the same level of epic-ness, POLA-RIOT from Vienna drop the Superman themed Superpimpin’ with heavy peaktime energy and slutty basslines. This is the kind of track for a strobelight only warehouse party.
With equal energy and bounce, POLA-RIOT’s remix of STARDUST reminds me why I’m still dancing over a decade later…
