BETTER SWIMMERS who have been promoting shows in Winnipeg for some time now have launched a digital record label to showcase (but won’t be limited to) local/Canadian talent. They’re offering up their first release as a free download for the newly minted label’s debut release. CROSSTOWN RIVALS is a Winnipeg based 4-piece who call under the indiefuzzdancerockers (or something like that) category. The single, ‘Exits’ includes remixes by Vitaminsforyou, Get Famous! + DJ Co-op. You can download the EP, including the original, over at: http://betterswimmers.com.
Local hero DJ CO-OP lets loose a robotic western, full of romance and laser beams. (WTF? Didn’t know you had it in you Tim!) GET FAMOUS!carry the heavyweight title with their stompy kick drums and ragged melodies. Here though, is the VITAMINSFORYOUremix full of echoing synth stabs and bursting gooey basslines.

Better Swimmers founder, MIKEY MMMUSCLES, also runs the best indie-minded dance party in town and has been doing so for a few years. He’s bringing back vitaminsforyou (again!) on July 30.
