All I’ve been listening to (well all I want to listen to) lately is bassline house and wobble. Can you blame me? It only seems appropriate then to give tribute to one of the sounds’ roots. Thank you dubstep. Your influence on dance music has gone deeper (pun intended) than anyone ever imagined.
Here then, are three cuts to mash your teeth with from KISS MY BASS via UDY and MUNGO BAOBAB (sorry no link – this dood’s a mystery), including OMG, a deadly remix of LIQUID‘s rave classic “Sweet Harmony.” As PEZNAKOV (where is that guy anyway?) will tell you, I was aurally nourished with XL Recordings compilations in the mid 90s. You see, way back when it was really difficult to get your hands on decent tunes in the sleepy prairie town I grew up in.
