Cher Spring,
I had this strange dream about travelling back in time to just before Jim Henson died, he called me and asked me to find the first puppet he ever made so he could be with it as he passed on. The fact that Jim Henson called me on his death bed, and asked me to do this for him made me cry and filled me with pride. Yet while attempting to find his beloved puppet for him, a war broke out and I was unsuccessful in my task. Fighting for my own life, while letting down a person so dear. Granted, I never knew Mr. Henson personally, his work has touched those of my generation very deeply and his appearance in my dream made me realize something.
While it is important to respect the past, nostalgia won’t save us. You don’t have to watch a whole episode of Hoarders to realize that if you can’t let go, you’ll be buried alive. Your life and well being are more important than memories, physical objects or even sometimes other people. That being said, I am currently looking around me and realizing that with the new season, I need to dig myself out of the snow and do my best to embrace what is ahead instead of risking my life to relive the past.
Why not some new music to help us out with that? COMPUTER CLUB sent us these a little while back, I have been a bit busy but better late than never right?
