KNIIFEPRRTY was one of the first bands I blogged about for manalogue, so I was excited when they sent along their new single “STAY WILD” which they are selling via their Bandcamp page and can be previewed on soundcloud here:
Maybe drop a little coin for this if you dig it. Speaking of digging and being dug, my buddy and fellow Albertan KUMON PLAZA was recently featured on FORKCAST! Yeah boy! It feels like I know Drake or something… Go download the tune Final Boss, and check out this edit I did for an art opening mix CD of his tune Hans Kruger… Nothing too fancy, just shaving off 3 minutes to make it a little more of a pop-tune…
For all y’all wanting something with more kick to it, mr. BASSNECTAR sent over a MASSIVE ATTACK bootleg to enjoy the solstice by. I believe Bassnectar played this tune (or a version of it) when I saw him at Shambhala a few years back, but can’t say for sure due to my state of mind at the time…
SO this aussie just sent me an email and I thought to myself “I’m drunk and stoned, and not only is this email really easy to read, it is well thought out. I’m not sure I even need to hear the tune, I’m blogging this….”
Yes folks, we get so many bad emails every single day I am sure that it makes more than just myself cringe… it’s not the music, sometimes the music is amaaaaaaazing, it’s the emails that make me want to kill myself. Between poorly written promos, bad DJ names and blah blah blah, my already injured brain has trouble keeping up… I love you… but if you can be elegant, to the point, and send SOUNDCLOUD links, I would be much much much more inclined to check out your tunes.
BLAZE TRIPP is the aforementioned aussie and his remix of the Chemical Brothers is a real winner.
It’s everything I love about new and old rave, using a technology I enjoy.
THE BULGARIAN sent us a tidy bootleg of “Alpha Centauri” by NOISIA. It’s a bit of a banger soaked in the sweat of electro and dubstep. If you want the 320, click on the widget after the SoundCloud link.
