Every mix on LEG-NO‘s latest single is incredible. Honestly, can’t pick the standout, mostly because there’s a tonne of variety. Serious buffet of house music on this one. For example, listen to the original mix – not housey enough, check out the “house remix.” Come on, that’s ridiculous and awesome at the same time. From BE BONKERZ.

This one took me by surprise. You see, more often than not, concept albums don’t work. Maybe that’s just me and my phobia of anything slower than 115 bpm. Long story short, this is amazing. Check out THE PROJECTS’ SoundCloud page for more. Check out the two standout cuts below.
morose:
a concept band established in early 2010 from the minds of 3 independent established producers / djs / musicians: samuel barba (guitar, vocals, production), tarek nasr (synthesizer, production) and eliott montero (bass, production). joined by adrian tran (guitar, production), and wesley boothe (percussion, production) the five piece band has established a signature style by combining live instrumentation with progressive minimalist electronic beats. morose seeks to re-establish electronica as a genre defined by cutting edge sound, unique instrumentation, and experimental song structures.
the project:
an electronic hybrid collective of dj’s and producers consisting of members of morose and independent electronic musicians. the project is an outlet for the development of an avant-garde brand of electronic club-oriented music, combining each member’s unique styles and production influence to live performance with the aim of revolutionizing electronica.
the morose project:
the umbrella which incorporates the band, dj sets, live visuals, art, and the collaboration of respected artists of all kinds to reinstate innovation, talent, and progressive thought into the current electronica scene.
BLENDE has a dynamite of a single on LA BOMBE RECORDINGS. The a-side meshes some electro, of the vintage and maximal varieties, and flared nu disco for some absolutely stunning results. The cut blazes with a sort of scuffed-shimmer. The b-side “comes on like Hall & Oates let loose with a slew of busted 808s .”
With remixes of Chemical Brothers, Gorillaz and Ducksauce under his belt, LOUIS LA ROCHE, takes the original and adds his own unique brand of lip-smacking Parisien funk in inimitable style.
Love grows in the twighlight…amidst the contrast of dark corners and piercing lights. AFROBETA will conjure up some pheromones, just for you, and the Miami duo are about to release their debut long player.

Here’s the forth and final installment of freebees from SHAB RUFFCUT. The two tracks below follow a similar tribal path as the six previous entries on these pages. “Lord” runs deep into the woods with a heavy kick layered under some tight bongos and some subtle horns. “Tonic” takes the tribal journey even further, dare I say, underground. The low-end in this one is balanced nicely with kindred vocals.
