Bugger. Almost forgot to post these blazing tunes from NAPT. This is what happens when we receive over 100 submissions a day. This is the price of success. ha. Kidding.
NAPT doesn’t need much of an intro to these pages. They’re the creators and purveyors of n-funk which by my calculations is a mashing of a number of styles, most importantly though, breakbeat. Their latest for RED SUGAR RECORDS is a double single that slams basslines sideways. “King Jitter” is a grinding monster while “Treatise” pounds a battling b-boy break. You should grab both – they’re available on iTunes and beatport.
Up next we have another single from the label that gives more evidence that 2012 might be the year acid returns. (It seems like everyone’s doing it lately – right?) REBEL SKETCHY takes the amen break and smashes it with some atmospheric 303 tweakery.
Listen to the cuts below and grab the single on beatport. (There are some freebees below too!)
Huge steppy drums & wicked techy bass hooks anchor down the trippy topline synths that constantly evolve and change throughout the track. With driving and changing drum patterns the tune builds into a warped machinegun bass lift off.
The original has that breakbeat flavour you’d come to expect from Mr. Kuts with some crisp toasting from DYNAMITE MC. The single is rounded out with bass versions from Dirtyphonics, Deekline & Product01, N-Type, and the above freebee from JAY ROBINSON.
Below are some snippets but you can grab them from beatport.
Sometimes you gotta slow things down a bit. Here’s a brand new one from LARCIER courtesy of CRACKI RECORDS. They tell us they organize parties in abandoned factories, and from the sound of this release, I’d believe them.
I’d love to hear the Renart remix in a massive dark space.

Here’s an underground bootleg of an ERIC MORELLO cut. The tune was originally released under the guise of REEL 2 REAL, a moniker many don’t realize. MICKEY FORTUNE, updates the track with a drop or two of acid. Check the download in the player below.
