Most self respecting DJs/producers know that remix competitions are ripoffs akin to “battle of the bands” nights at crappy bars. Get a bunch of artists to do a lot of free work for a chance at really shitty prizes and reap the benefits of huge amounts of free marketing! But even as cynical as I am I couldn’t resist the chance to remix The Rapture’s massive “How Deep Is Your Love” with my bud Pat Lok.
