Bootlegs have long been a staple in the dance music scene, and have paved the path for many successful careers in the industry. One need only look to Sander VanDoorn’s “Message In A Bottle” remix that shook soundsystems, or to Tiga’s “Sunglasses at Night” which became an instant classic, and shot him to international stardom. UK producer Rob Nutek isn’t exactly a newcomer musically – the Dj/Producer and owner or RE:NU Productions is now signed to Stealth Records , NERVOUS Records NYC, Bush, Serotonin Digital, Kushtee, Stylus Records, Unt!, Oneway Records, Muchiq Records, TMR and many more. That said, he has just made public a bootleg of the breaks classic “You Used to Hold Me” which could do just the same. The remix takes the familiar sample and underlines it with serious tech-house basslines that you cannot help but wiggle to. This tune is gaining some heavy support worldwide, and belongs in any serious tech-head’s collection.
I strongly recommend you have a listen.
