Here’s the thing. KRAFTY KUTS will be one of the best djs you’ll ever see. Here’s in Winnipeg for the third time in about a year, this time for his Bang the Underground Tour. The Western Canadian ghetto funk scene have embraced him, and I can only assume he feels the same about the party towns Krafty Kuts returns to. Let’s put on a party then shall we – Winnipeg is his second last stop.

Back in 2003/04 I lived in Brighton, which is where Martin Reeves is from. To say that I was spoiled with the dj culture in one of the most vibrant cities worldwide is a colossal understatement. For example, I think I saw him play every month – I loved every one of these shows. Sadly, despite the number of times he’s been here I haven’t seen him since I moved back to Canada. Ugh.

That will change Friday, September 21 when he plays at The Zoo. The crew behind the newly minted Respect the DJ with sound and lighting by DV8 Audio Visual Productions. (Here’s the facebook event.)

Krafty Kuts cut his teeth dj but he also quickly gained recognition as a producer. Here’s a smattering of what he currently has going on.

To hear his party philosophy, check this out. To get a better grasp, check out the show on October 21st.
