For his debut on OFF Recordings, DARIUS SYROSSIAN lets loose one of the deepest tracks of the year. “Metal”, a collaboration with HECTOR COUTO, has been hammered for months by the few who were lucky enough to get an advance promo. The tune features a near trademark jacking groove combined with a deep and driving bassline.
Jordan Peak delivers a slightly syncopated, but wobbly remix, that could see itself veering deeper underground.
“Bass Play”, a collaboration with JOSH BUTLER, completes the package, which for me, is the standout cut from the EP. This tune is a bit darker with a subtle bassline that could wobble its way into a garage of one form or another.
