The Italian collective RESET! have released two pumped-up disco cuts, with a serious, driving bottom end on Downright Music. Both tracks in this EP blend huge basslines, epic breakdowns, 70′s funk samples, and big melodic sensibility – it’s exactly what defines what the band calls turbofunk.
“Stealin’ Your Soul” sets the vibe, driven by insanely infectious bass loops and gospel inspired vocals while encompassing an overlayed acid line.
“Monique Autoerotique” on the flip proves just as eclectic with big drums and chords that could shred the pants off of Mick Jagger.
