It’s somewhat subconscious to have high expectations from the artists and labels I’m a fan of but every once in a while we get surprised by something extraordinary. This just happened with the latest from GROUND LEVEL.

I’ve been all over practically every release from the UK-based breaks label, and since first hearing REBEL SKETCHY in 2011, I pay extra attention when I see something of his come my way. I’ve never been disappointed so when Grinspiller dropped yesterday I was eager to hear the single. I wasn’t expected for what this absolute monster delivered. You can hear for yourself in the embeds below, but please for the love, listen on something decent. Also, I dare you not to turn this one up. Doing so feels instinctual.

BROMLEY, from Bristol, ramps up the low end for future garage vibe, pivoting around a clanging bassline heavy enough to bring the International Space Station crashing to Earth.
