BREAKBOT + NEUS

It’s cliche I know, but how could this track not be perfect for summer?

NEUS (New Experimental for Universal Sound) came together in 2007 in Corsica, France from the creative mind of Gael Guidicelli.

Call it robotdisco. minimal, emotronic, ambient, hard electro or call it whatever you like, NEUS’s versatility, accuracy and improvisation is what keeps his music fresh. Already having the support from SebastiAn and Busy P of Ed Banger Records, NEUS is on his way to be a big name.

FISCHERSPOONER + DIM MAK

0

DIM MAK is proud to present the release of Fischerspooner’s new single “Supply and Demand”, out on November 10 and FISCHERSPOONER will be doing a DJ set at DIM MAK TUESDAYS on the evening of the release.

When my wife and I met, we bonded over Fischerspooner. I’m not sure if it sealed the deal for her, but the fact that she was such a huge fan of Casey and Warren gave me a bit of a chub. Think about it – this night could be the making of eternal love. If you’re in Hollywood, head over to Cinespace and check it out.

THE BLOODY BEETROOTS

In case you forgot, THE BLOODY BEETROOTS release their debut long player, “ROMBORAMA” tomorrow. I don’t have a lot to go from other than the two latest singles and the schwack of EPs and remixes coming from the Italian duo. DIM MAK however, describes the album like this.

This is the fusion of two concepts, describing Sir Bob Cornelius Rifos anarchical musica opera. The album destroys the notion of musical genre, expanding the meaning of Music in a period in which this term is in serious jeopardy. In this collection of twenty original tracks, the only common denominator is electronic. It is a journey into the mind of Sir Bob, oscillating between techno, punk, classical and baroque, soundtrack for film, house, italo-disco and hip hop.

Each song has its own inner world, explored with the help of featured artists of the calibre of Justing Pearson (All Leather), Lisa Kekaula, The Cool Kids, Beta Bow, Cecile, STEVE AOKI, J*Davey, and Vicarious Bliss.

The single, “Awesome” featuring THE COOL KIDS, was released on July 27th. Grab your copy from your preferred retailer if you haven’t already.

LAIDBACK LUKE + DIPLO + HOSTAGE

After months of hype, DIM MAK has released the LAIDBACK LUKE and DIPLO colaboration. The label have been keeping the single on the hush until now so I don’t even have a 128 to share…but I do have a video of the Dutch producer playing the track. Sorry that’s so lame but it’s all that the higher powers gave me and I’m really digging the tune so…

You can grab the tune from beatport, or somewhere like that. Luke van Sheppingen has built his reputation on quality bootlegs, remixes, and a tight association with the Swedish House Mafia. Show your support with a click or two.

HOSTAGE put together a deluxe mix with Foamo’s remix (which is probably the best in the package). You can grab that mix here.

Also, every once in a while I indulge in a bit of club cheese, and if you enjoy the same kind of things, then here are a few treats!

STEVE AOKI

I don’t know how many times STEVE AOKI has been through Winnipeg, but as someone on a local forum pointed out, he should probably just move here already. Seriously. The DIM MAK label boss has played The Peg more often than any other touring DJ. Much love I suppose. Anyway, he’s here one more time, this time at REPUBLIC tonight. We had some tickets but they’re already gone.

FELIX CARTAL

FELIX CARTAL just dropped his “Skeleton” EP on DIM MAK. The title track has been out for a while, but I tell you, the rest of the release is so good. The second track, “Salty Lake,” is the taker for me. It’s a lesson in perpetual motion and aerodynamics. This tune builds and build and builds and would be great as a set opener. Oh my.

The folks at Dim Mak were kind enough to give us the teaser below. If you like what you hear, grab it from somewhere like iTunes or beatport.
